The Department of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled individual to fulfill the role of Temporary Phlebotomist 2 and Mobile Research Unit Driver.
As a Phlebotomist 2, you will have a crucial role in collecting and handling blood specimens for research purposes. Your expertise in phlebotomy techniques and knowledge of proper specimen handling protocols will be invaluable to our team's success. As a Driver, you will play a vital role in the operation and maintenance of our cutting-edge Mobile Medical Research Unit, a spacious RV - Class C measuring approximately 31'-32' in length you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of our research team, precious specimens, and equipment to diverse research sites. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of our mobile research efforts.
In addition to driving the research unit, there will be instances where you will also be required to operate a golf cart within the research facility to facilitate the seamless transportation of specimens and staff. Your ability to adapt to different modes of transportation will be instrumental in maintaining a timely and coordinated workflow.
Apart from transportation responsibilities, you will also be responsible for regular maintenance and upkeep of the mobile unit, ensuring its optimal functionality. This includes conducting routine inspections, addressing minor repairs, and creating a clean and organized environment for our staff. Your commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our research endeavors.

Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Phlebotomist certification, BLS and HIV certification required
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Must have experience driving large vehicles like for example bus, trucks, RVs.
Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as necessary
Must have valid/current Florida Drivers License
