Executive Director, Northern Shenandoah Valley Substance Abuse Coalition

We are looking for passionate, innovative, and caring people who will each bring their unique skills and perspectives to our workplace.What You Will Do: The Executive Director represents the Northern Shenandoah Valley Substance Abuse Coalition to the community, law enforcement, the judicial system, government leaders, educational institutions, and social service organizations. This position reports to the Board of Directors of the Coalition who oversees the mission and work of the organization and to the Director of Behavioral Health at Valley Health for operational guidance. The Executive Director manages all personnel and programs associated with the Coalition including the Northwest Regional Adult Drug Treatment Court, the Warren County Drug Treatment Court and the Shenandoah County Drug Treatment Court. The Executive Director brings focus, media attention, and publicity to the work of the Coalition, the challenges of substance use in the community, and problem solving with partners and stakeholders. The Executive Director serves as a liaison between the Coalition, stakeholders, and the community identifying and cultivating positive relationships at the community, county, and state levels. Working with community partners the Executive Director identifies needs and develops and implements new programs. The Executive Director oversees all budgets, contracts and grants for the Coalition.What You Will Bring: Education Bachelors in related field required Masters highly preferredExperience 5 years of progressive leadership responsibility in a criminal justice, judicial, health, or human services organization. Prior experience in grant writing, grant administration, community / public relations, and financial management preferred. Prior experience with Drug Courts preferred.
